Sunrise Flight through the South Tyrolean Mountain World

Outdoor lifestyle in the mountains

Paragliding at sunrise attracts both adventurous outdoor vacationers as well as local South Tyroleans. By rising early, we are able to catch the awakening of nature in the mountains. The Ifinger Tandemclub Team promise you an unforgettable adventure.

The trajectory of the sun and time of the year determines our departure time. Depending on the sunrise, sometimes earlier, sometimes a little later – meeting point and exact time are agreed by phone or email. The destination is the Kuhleitenhütte Refuge at 2,400 m near Merano 2000. We arrive at the take-off point in our vehicle, but some guests might prefer to negotiate the final stretch on foot.

Breakfast and Flight

After a hearty breakfast, we await the arrival of dawn on the refuge terrace: the first rays of sunrise announcing the start of our adventure. We then take off on our paraglider, flying above the magnificent Passeiertal Valley for between 30 – 40 mins, at an altitude of 2,050 m. The landing is near the Torgglerhof Hotel in Salthaus/Saltusio, or on the Quellenhof Golf Course.

Photos and Videos

Our experienced pilots will shoot spectacular footage (photos and videos) throughout the tandem flight, including the prelude at sunrise and during the actual flight. You can collect these at the valley station after the end of your flight. Prices as above.

Flight 3×30 deluxe is a truly special experience and unique throughout the entire Alpine region. After take-off, we fly to an alpine hut or mountain restaurant and make an intermediate landing. There, we enjoy an aperitif and a traditional South Tyrolean snack platter with speck and cheese. Afterwards, we take off again with the paraglider and gently float back down into the valley. This adventure requires perfect conditions and highly precise piloting skills.

Note: If, due to excessively strong thermal conditions, an intermediate landing at the mountain hut is not possible, we will fly directly into the valley without a stop. Safety is always our top priority!

• In this case, we will land on our designated landing field near the Apfelhotel in Saltaus/Passeier and enjoy an aperitif with a speck and cheese platter at the Torgglerhof.

2 hour flight

Glide with the paraglider from thermal to thermal, mountain to mountain, climb up to the clouds again and again, utilise the forces of nature and thus fly distance.

We can cover 30 to 40 kilometres – feel like an eagle. This adventure is intended for passengers who already have experience with paragliding/thermal flying or who are starting to fly themselves. Our passengers should not be seasick, as we often turn around our own axis in the thermal tube to gain altitude. To master such a cross-country “performance” we need clear sunny weather and optimal wind conditions. To complete the flight, we can, of course, go all out again at the end and fly exciting acrobatics. To reduce the adrenaline rush after such a flight, our passengers are rewarded with a glass of sparkling wine on the landing field.

If the thermal conditions are optimal, it is also possible to fly over the Spronser lakes.
